Melinda Hall, Founder and President
As a strategic and tactical human resources leader, Melinda Hall has spent more than 20 years developing and leading complex projects in compensation, benefits, M&A, employment, legal compliance and general HR and being a trusted advisor to all levels of staff in a wide range of organizations and business settings. As President of TransitionPoint Human Resources, Melinda is advising clients and executing human resource strategy in support of major business transitions with a strong focus on M&A transactions.
Melinda has held senior global human resources leadership roles in high technology, private equity, and financial services in Silicon Valley, Europe and in the Denver area. Career accomplishments include HR leadership for major M&A transactions, global compensation plans including executive and equity programs, benefits and rewards strategy, organizational development including restructuring, manpower planning and organizational design, global human resources service delivery and systems, post-acquisition transitions and integration as well as international HR management roles in Europe and Latin America.
Prior to founding TransitionPoint Human Resources, Melinda held VP of Human Resources roles at Republic Financial Corporation and Platinum Equity with responsibility for the HR M&A function including due diligence, acquisition and transaction strategy, post-acquisition transition, divestitures and advising portfolio companies. Her M&A expertise includes all types of transaction structures globally in multiple industries and countries. Her M&A accomplishments exceed 300 due diligence projects and more than 40 completed transactions. Her due diligence methodology has yielded hundreds of millions of dollars in avoided liabilities and risks and has uncovered hundreds of millions in undisclosed liabilities and costs. In addition to creating human resources programs and compensation plans in corporate environments, Melinda has implemented human resources functions and the full range of plans and programs in portfolio companies and has guided management through a wide range of complex human resource decisions and actions.
Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s of Science in Business and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University.
